Hi folks.
I am designing a LabVIEW-based application that will acquire video. I am hoping this application will end up with a large distribvution base (e.g. a lot of customers!). And honestely, I don't want to have to bundle in the IMAQdx run-time. PArtly because of the cost. But also because of the added complexity of licenses.
So anyone have some clever workarounds? I deally I'd like to grab video via any direct-show compatible USB web-cam ... just like IMAQdx does ... but without using IMAQdx. Perhaps someone has some example code?
Thanks vision experts!

Bumping this post to the top.
Anybody have any ideas? Amy I really forced to embed the $400(?!) run-time into my application?

do you just want to grab some video? dont yu require labVIEW for image processing?

The application will be acquiring (analog) data from multiple other devices. And we want the ability to also record video. No real image processing. Just want to grab some video and save it to disk. I am going to look into interfacing with DirectShow myself. Maybe there is some kind of DotNET interface I can use?
