Seems I tried that and Delete was not an option. I'll look again next time I'm at the job site.

Still getting the same errors. To fix, close camera VI, open Network connections window LAN or high speed internet connection is called “camera”W/ admin privileges  rt clik to Disable / rt clik to enable (goes out & gets address off camera)

Open & start Camera.vi…

At another time, power went out, our system stayed up with UPS but lab network went down. Camera went with it !!  Disable/enable did nothing until main network came up after lunch.  Erratic camera connection definitely tied to LAN operation !

Any comments or ideas?

Oh, so this is through the lab LAN? What happens if you connect it directly to the computer with a crossover?

No, the camera is connected to a port on a GigE card and the lab LAN goes to one of the built in ports on the PC.

If you leave the LAN connection disconnected does it work (perhaps reboot with only the camera connected) consistently?

I used the same system during software development without the LAN connection and never had this problem so it seems to have something to do with the LAN connection although it goes to a totally different interface. We'll have the IT people take a look but I don't hold out much hope of them finding anything.

Bob,

Can you do an "ipconfig /all" and "route print" from the command line (in the non-working configuration) and paste the results here? You can append "| clip" to pipe the results directly to the clipboard for easier pasting.

I suspect this might give some better idea of your network configuration and what might be wrong.

Eric,

Problem is that I'm not on-site. I'll see if I can get someone at the site to do that.

Same problem occur here, i have 2 identicals systems. (CVS IC3173 with linescan racer gige camera)

One run without any error over days, the other constently have a timed-out problem or a camera remove problem... In this situation, I reset the camera and reconnect to it and continue but that is a problem, we test the cables.

Been a long time ago, but I think the problem had something to do with the network program looking for a server. This was a lab system and intentionally not connected to a network. It was an IT problem and they finally resolved it.

Sorry I can't be more specific, the lab has since been sold and the guy I was working with at the time has unfortunately passed .
