NI acquired the following products in the MATRIXx family.

Xmath
SystemBuild
DocumentIt
AutoCode
BetterState (part of Version 7.0)

We will continue to support and develop these products moving forward.

NI acquired the software component to RealSim, but did not acquire the AC-1000 (AC-104) hardware. Although NI will not sell or support RealSim software/hardware, we are establishing a process to channel support requests for RealSim/AC-1000 hardware through MATRIXx systems integrators who have expertise with these products. We plan to have this support mechanism established in the next few weeks.

Our future plans include the support of targeting NI hardware such as PXI using SystemBuild/AutoCode.

Can you confirm that "Xmath" also includes the modules such as Control Design, Optimization, etc., and that "SystemBuild" includes State Transition Diagrams? Also, what about the Altia interface? I would expect at some point that it might be supplanted by LabView, but will it be included/supported for a while?

The acquisition of Xmath included the Control Design, Robust Control, Optimization, Signal Analysis, Model Reduction, Xmu, and Interactive System ID and Control Design Modules. The SystemBuild modules that were also part of the acquisiton are the State Transition Diagrams, Hyperbuild, RT/Fuzzy Logic, Neural Networks, Interactive Animcation, Configuration Management, and BetterState. The Fixed-Point Extension and Multiprocessor Extension was also acquired for both C and Ada versions of AutoCode.

The Altia interface, however, was not part of NI's initial acqusition. Negotiations continue to take place concerning various additional modules in the MATRIXx family, including Altia, however these modules cannot be made available by NI until those nego
tiations are finalized. These details will be available on ni.com/matrixx as soon as they are finalized.

Thanks again for your continued support of MATRIXx!
