changing comm driver from df1 serial to modbus tcp

I am trying to modify an existing database that is using Allen-Bradley DF1 serial and converting it to Modbus Ethernet.  I tested the connection to the new device using one tag to verify operation was successful – it was.  It appears that I may have to relink all HMI objects to the new database.  If so, I intend to keep the alias the same but the location of the database would be changed.  All HMI objects will remain the same except communicating to a new PLC using a different protocol.  It seems to be an easy transition but I have not found the utility to do so.

There is no utility for this.

I would create the driver object and all of the aliases, then link them. You can also edit the LKS file in a notepad (Notepad++ is great) application.

Good luck
