Problem: I want to use Lookout or Lookout Protocol Drivers to connect to a Siemens S7 PLC. There is an object S7_HMI that uses an HMI Adapter and can connect to my PLC without requiring a Profibus card. What is this HMI Adapter?

The engineer answered:

The HMI Adapter (SIEMENS P/N: 6ES7 972-0CA11-0XA0) that was used to develop the S7_HMI driver is supplied by Siemens and has part number 6ES7-972-0CA11-0XA0. The Siemens HMI Adapter provides a simple way to connect HMI devices and PCs that do not have MPI ports to Siemens S7/C7/M7 automation systems

Can somebody tell me if this adaptor would work in interfacing an Allen Bradley PanelView Plus 600 p/n and a S7-313 PLC?

Did you ever find out any info on communicating from a PC (Labview) to a PanelView Plus HMI? I am interested in knowing if this can be done as well.
