As of now, it's not possible to save (and programmatically reload) the Recipe file.
BUT, having said that.. as you too might've discovered, the DataTable object in Lookout can do everything that the Recipe object does.. plus more! It's just not as simple to use as the Recipe object.
Using the DataTable Object, you can programmatically import/export XLS files and build a custom recipe system, etc. So you may want to look into using this instead.
