Lookout is trying to open to Login/User Manager box when opened.
This box normally is only activated after opening the application and selecting Login.
Typing in a valid or default user ID returns a General Error. Lookout never gets past title screen.
This was a good working application and has not had any issues. Customer had to reboot due to lockup's and problem started.
I have deleted and reinstalled all NI/Lookout and asscoiated software and Sequel Server (directories where deleted as well) with no avail.

In the Windows/System32 directory there is a Lookout.sec file. Try replacing the file with a fresh, clean install copy from another machine.
Backup the original first!

Can the "Set as default login user" in Lookout 6.7.1 checkbox be hidden or perhaps set by the administrator only?

Not that I have seen.
User training is the key to prevent laziness. All of our system start with a Level 1 "Guest" as default. All security is 2 and above for operation, but allows the system to start without requiring password/login.
