Allen-bradley CompactLogix 5330

Will Lookout work with Allen-Bradley CompactLogix 5330 processor. If so how? I've tried the micrologix selection but the addressing scheme seems much different than what I used to program the PLC. For example if I want to use bit 1 from the second slot, what would it look like. Similiarly an analog input from slot 4, etc. The programming software used for the PLC is RSLogix5000.

Hi,

I do not see the CompactLogix in the list of supported protocols from Lookout. The compatibility list is here: Where can I Find Drivers for Communicating to PLCs, RTUs, and Other Industrial Hardware?
To get around this, I would suggest obtaining an OPC server from Allen-Bradley and using a OPCClient in Lookout. Using this OPC server, you should be able to access the full capabilities of the Allen-Bradley PLC.

I believe that the CompactLogix allows relating the tag-based addresses to the conventional AB addressing scheme, which should allow accessing the PLC with a DF1 driver through Lookout.
