NI-DAQmx Linux Driver Bug

I recently came across a bug in the NI-DAQmx 8.0.1 C API,

http://forums.ni.com/t5/Multifunction-DAQ/How-do-set-the-Clock-Signal-as-a-Digital-Out-in-the-C-API/...

Does anyone know if it is possible to patch this bug? and if not what is the time table for when the linux driver will be updated to 9.0?

Given that there's a workaround (as pointed out by John Passiak), I would say that is the 'patch' 😉

Speaking to the future of DAQmx for Linux, I'm not sure. The best way to ask for DAQmx 9.0 for Linux (other than here, of course) is to bend the ear of your local NI representative and make a direct request for it.
