Rif.: using list in programmers tool to set an array size

I have an array which I am using it to plot in the graph ... since the array size required for me is very huge I found that list can be used from programmers tools but I am facing difficulty in using list to update the size of the array ... I went through the examples and class still facing difficulty in using lists
