mesa.dll not found

Solved!
Go to solution

I installed Labwindows/cvi 8.1 on an XP computer.

After installing everything including the drivers I reboot the PC and then attempt to launch Labwindows. I get a error popup saying cannot find mesa.dll. I have to ctrl-alt-dlt and stop the task thru the task manager, only way to get out of this. I did a search for mesa.dll on the computer and it is in several folders.

What do I need to do to get going using Labwindows on this computer? Never had a problem on any of the other computers I have loaded Labwindows on.

Thanks!

John W.

Hi,

It appears that the issue might be the VS 2008 C++ runtime package as discussed in this thread.

You can try downloading the installer and installing separately (link is in the last post of the above thread).

Thanks.

I ended up deleting the National Instruments folder residing in Program folders. Then uninstalled NI and then reinstalled. Does not flag this error anymore.
