change in behavior of "Generate Prototypes"

Hi,

The Generate Prototypes menu option in CVI used to generate a prototypes with "extern" specifier and it was very handy.

I could save it as an header file and include it from other source files.

Now (2013SP1) I do not see any "extern"s, and the help file says it is intended for us to copy them from the generated file and paste them on top of our source file to declare the functions.

I find the older usage much useful. What do you think?
