backward-looking logarithmic timeline

Hi all!

I try around for now two days but found no solution:

I need a backward-looking logarithmic timeline, so one can see the newest data with high temporal resolution and the oldest data in a compressed manner.

I tried reversed axis, inverted gain and flipped data array in every possible combination, but allways the newer data are compressed and the older not..

Best regards,

Thomas

Would it be possible for you to plot the elapsed time instead? Then you could use both log scale and inverted scale, which results in something like 100, 10, 1, 0.1, and if these values represent the time passed (in seconds/minutes...) this would be the representation you want?

Would be possible, but is not really what I want. Maybe it will work if I use custom labels. My brain is knotted. My brain is knotted...

Will try it on Monday.

Best,

Thomas

Apply the mathematical transform you want (log) to your time value, then plot that on a standard (linear) plot. Use custom labels to place the time values in the right places.
