active x controller

hi,
I would like to communicate with a hardware via RS232 and I want to use an active x component (ocx) that comes from Visual Basic and which contains functions that I need to communicate with my hardware.
I tried to create a driver from this component (with the tool Create active X controller)and I used the functions which have been created in my program. When I run my program there is no execution and any errors, just my functions that are in red character.
What does it mean? Do I have to create another component in order to use my driver?
thanks for your answers
yours faithfully

Hi,
If you use the default system colors, the only situation where a function is highlighted in red is when the execution is suspended.
Try to verify your run options. Validate that "break on first statement" is disabled.
