What files to include when using a third-party dist kit maker?

For reasons that are too long to type out here, I'd like to use a third-party distribution kit maker such as InstallShield or Wise to package my CVI application. Which general files from CVI (DLL's, etc.) do I need to include to make my app work? I can figure out which files I need specific to my app, but I need to know which DLL's and other files I should include that CVI needs to run any app.

Thanks.
Dan

You are opening a can of worms that is hard to pull off. NI stuff currently does not play that nice with other installers but you can make it work with a little effort. Here are some links to pages that you should read that will cover most of what you will need to know..

"msm custom action fails "nmdkTouchComponentFiles.0A12B0D3_94AF_489F_AA01_DD C6E268E50A""

first read:
http://zone.ni.com/devzone/conceptd.nsf/webmain/2FF2B17F4DC7CFDF86256AA3006990C4?opendocument

then read:
http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/3efedde4322fef19862567740067f3cc/ 36c5e45e15a6862d86256b79005f89bb?OpenDoc ument

from there you may still have problems, I definatly recommend downlading the Windows Installer SDK and installing Orca you will probably need it.
