WTB Book: LabWindows/CVI Programming for Beginners

Hi,
I recently purchased a full package V4.0 LW/CVI on ebay (love ebay).
NI's documentation is pretty good, but I learn better by example than
looking at reference manuals. The following book is out of print:

LabWindows/CVI Programming for Beginners (With CD-ROM), Shahid F.
Khalid
Paperback: 651 pages Publisher: Prentice Hall PTR; Book and CD-ROM
edition (May 15, 2000)

Does anyone have a copy (with readable CD) sitting around that they'd
like to sell? The advanced topics book from the same author is
current print, but I think that will be over my head.

I'm just a basement dwelling tinkerer, so V4.0 seems to be just my
thing. I'd like to learn it well - any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan

I can not remember if V4.0 came with the online manuals as well, but the baseline tutorial should be included with the base pack and it did not change much since then ,so I would suggest following the basic tutorial in any case. If you are familiar with C the tutorial is a good introduction, otherwiese I would suggest getting one of the free online tutorials goiuns on learning the basic C syntax and command. I started out learning CVI on version 4 and I only had very basic college level exposure to C so I pretty much learned C and the CVI IDE at the same time doing a project oever a three months period.

If you need more pointers let me know, I am sure they ate included with the installastion in a subdirectory of you installation.
