VISA pb

Hi,

using VISA and CVI7 to detect all serial port,I can't install Visa with the distribution kit because there's no exe file, only a MSI file with cab files.
After the installation I've got a pb with the application ( that works fine on my developpement system Windows 2000).Here's the error message:

"The specified configuration either does not exists or could not be loaded; using VISA-specified defaults".

What's the pb ? and how can I install automatically VISA with MSI file ?.

PS: VISA Interactive Control works fine.

Hi pierre,
In order to install VISA on a target, instead of
using what commes with CVI, go to ni web site and
download the .exe file for VISA driver. named visa301full.exe and visa301runtime.exe.
You perhaps also need the CVI run-time engine
you can also find on ni site.
On the target execute these self-install files

Hi,

thank you.I've just found out the solution.Instead of using the installation files from my developpement CD, I have downloaded the visa run time.So, it works and it's an executable file. I can launch it using the distribution kit.
