RichText ActiveX Control RTFBox98.CHM

hi,

I am looking for the following help file: RTFBox98.CHM.

When I try to get help on any of the Microsoft RichText Box function it pops up a message box saying the help file cannot be found.  I have done a search for it on my computer and it was not located.  Searches on Microsofts webpage show references to the document but not where to download it.

I am using CVI 8.5 and Microsoft RichText Control 6.0 (SP4)

Thanks for the help,
Garth

Hi Matt,

Thanks for the post.  Are you able to use the help file?
1) When I load it I get an error dialogue.
2) After it loads I cannot click on any of the links or search for anything.

Do you know what I can install to get this help file?

Thanks,
Garth

Hi Garth,

I could open up the help file without any issues.  It appears there might be a problem with your Microsoft Help installation.  Could you try opening a different .CHM file to see if it also displays the same behavior?  Also, could you post a screenshot of the error you are receiving?  Maybe that will give us more direction in how we can fix this issue.  Thanks!

I can open any of the CHM files in the windows\Help directory without a problem.

The first image is the error I get before the help file is visible.

The second image is an image of what happens after I search for something.
All off the search results are "untitled" and cannot be clicked.
Also the hyperlinks at the top of the main help page do not work.

Thanks,
Garth

Garth,

Sorry, I forgot you need the CHI file as well.  I have attached a new zip file and believe that should work for you now.  I hope it helps!

I'm having the same problem with CVI2015 on Windows 7. The file opens OK, but I'm not sure where to put the files on my system such that the help will show when I right click on the CVI function panels. I tried in the CVI2015/bin directory, and in the same directory as the RICHTX32.fp, neither worked.
