Hi,
I'm using a PDF tool for printing reports into (secured) PDF-Files, it's
"Jaw's PDF Creator" ( www.jawspdf.com ). The PDF tool is installed as a
printer driver and is listed as a printer when comanding
NIReport_GetPrinters (CVI 6.0 / Win 2000)
The documentation of the PDF tool reports that most applications (like e.g.
MS-Word) transfer the current document name (e.g. "My_Report.DOC") to the
selected Windows printer driver, the PDF tool would then take this filename
to creates "My_Report.PDF".
The problem when printing from the NI-Report generator to the PDF printer
driver is, that NIR transfers some rubbish bytes as filename. The PDF printer
then opens an error window a
nd asks the operator to manually input a correct
filename. When doing so, then NI-Roport is able to print fine PDF documents
with nice colored graphics in it.
However, we make automated measurements overnight and no one is able to
type in filenames.
Question: can NI-Report submit a correct filename to the printer driver?
Ciao
