Measurement & Automation Explorer quits under Windows XP

I had a fully working setup with Measurement Studio - LabWindows/CVI using DMM and DAQ cards. I then installed the 488.2 SW to use the GPIB-USB B interface. Now when I try to launch the Measurement & Automation Explorer, it just exits without an error message.

What version of the software caused this to happen? What version of DAQ was installed? Is the GPIB-USB device detected and installed properly? Can you provide any other information so that we can try to determine the cause of this?
