Hello,
We installed Labwindows CVI 2012 to develop our software but we need to compile it with the Borland Compiler, otherwise some functionalities doesn't work.
If I understood on the forum, this compiler was removed of Labwindows 2012, but we need it, so is it possible to add it or install it for Labwindows 2012 please?
Thank you.
Best regards.
Karine.

Hi Karine,
Unfortunately, you cannot add Borland to LabWindows/CVI 2012 anymore. At best, you could use an older version of LabWindows/CVI (like 9.0), that still had this feature.

Hello,
I reply to your message late, sorry.
It's amazing when a software is developped withLabwindows CVI 9 with the compiler Borland and if you want to update your version of Labwindows, because you need to take advantage of new and you can't finally.
If we update Labwindows, a lot of functions using in our source code must be modify for the software to work properly, it's a very heavy work...
Do you know why the borland compiler was removed of Labwindows please?
And a last question, do you know why some functions work correctly with the borland compiler and no with the visual compiler or vice versa please (like fputc or fgetc...)?
Thank you.
Best Regards.

Hello Karine,
Could you explain what exaclty doesn't work without Borland? We're you using the Borland compatibility mode, with the default compiler, or we're you using Borland as a third-party compiler? Functions like fputc should work just fine with the regular CVI compiler.
