LabWindows/CVI does not 'see' my DAQ card?

under my 'library' pull down menu the 'data acquisition' option is not high lighted, thus I cannot choose any related commands!?

You need to install the DAQ support for CVI. Re-run the installer for the Data Acquisition driver (on the Driver CDs) and make sure you install DAQ support for CVI.

You must be sure also that the installation directory of DAQ driver is the same of the path into which you installed CVI. I had some problems with CVI 6.0 and NI-DAQ 6.8: CVI installed itself in c:\program\national instruments\measurement studio\cvi\ , while driver set by default c:\program\national instruments\cvi (the old path, valid for cvi 5.5). When I changed this path the first time, installation application changed it automatically, I didn't check and I had the same problem as you. The trick is to check the path: when you set it and click on NEXT, you have to click on BACK and control the path has remain the same, then finish the installation.

Bye.
