FATAL RUN TIME ERROR with CVI 7.1, A non-debuggable thread caused a 'General Protection' fault at address 68647163

Hello,

I'm running a multithreaded program in LabWindows CVI 7.1.
There are four threads in my program with:
- reads and writes on RS232
- reads and writes with DAQmx 8.6.0f5 to a module USB6008

I sometimes have  the following error
in debug mode and release mode.:
FATAL RUN-TIME ERROR
Unknown source position, thread id 0x00000E88
A non-debugger thread Caused a 'General Protection ' fault at address 68647163.

 Is there a way under CVI 7.1 to  know what's the problem  ?

Note:

I'm running my programm under this PC:

Windows XP /  Version 2002 / SP3

Processor = 2.7 Ghz

RAM = 3Go

Thank you for your help,

Christophe

Hello,

I don't know if we can debud or spy a FATAL RUN-TIME ERROR, I need verify.

Can you try on a more recent LabWindows/CVI version ?

Have you an simple example that reproduce the error ?

Thanks,

Hello,

thank you for your prompt response.

I don't have a simple exemple that produces the error.

When I simulate USB6008 and RS232 commands, the program don't produce any error.

I will first do a test by installing the application on another PC this week.

Il the error occurs, I will create the program with CVI 8.0 and test it.

thanks,

Christophe
