The National Instruments key may not exist if no other software has needed to write to it. You should go ahead and create all keys in the path that I specified (as well as the value).

If adding the key and value don't fix your problem, please reply with a screenshot of the registry editor so that I can see the keys and value, and also please confirm that the version of the cvirte.dll on your system is 2009 (9.1.x).

Hello and thanks for your quick answer,

We will try to create path and parameter in the registry as you explained.
About CVI version you was right, there has been an update of the "cvi....dll" files, we supposed it was 8.5 (files dates from 2008) and we have seen on the cutomer Server that it was files dated 19/01/2010. The reason is now identified, the creation of the installation kit has been done on a machine that had DLL from this date 19/01/2010.

As a first action we will try to create path in registry and keep you informed about the result.
The other solution would be to improve the installation kit with a more recent CVI RunTime version.
Best regards,

Franck

Hello,

No chance with the key that has been created as proposed (see attached picture to check Registry key creation).

After creating the key, the service has been restarted and the messages are the same in Event log Applications.

This software runs in service mode, can it change the behaviour ?

The key is localized in "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" and the server is logoff during normal use, on the other hand there is an account associated with the service.

Please help !!

Franck

If the service is run in the context of a specific user account (not your account), then it makes sense that putting the registry key under HKEY_CURRENT_USER didn't work. You will have to look under HKEY_USERS and find the sub-key that corresponds to the service's account. Then you should add the keys/value there instead of under HKEY_CURRENT_USER. Sorry for the confusion.
