EventID 1060: cvintdrv.SYS; EventID cvintdrv 7000

It my understanding that this may due to running Vista 64bit, and/or related to LabWindows/CVI drivers?

I'm running LV 8.6 development suite: NI LabWindows/CVI 8.1.1 Run-Time Engine. Any input would be appreciated.

Hi ewtotem,

That is correct, the reason you are seeing these errors is because this file (cvintdrv.sys) is a driver file used for low-level communications for Windows NT systems.  In later versions of the CVI Run-Time Engine (RTE), this file does not get installed on Vista 64bit because the file is not compatible.

You can update your RTE to the latest version (CVI 9.0).  The later version of the RTE will be compatible with anything you have written in previous versions of CVI.  For good measure, you should uninstall your older version of the CVI RTE and make sure that the cvintdrv.sys file got removed before installing CVI RTE 9.0

Sorry about that, I forgot to post a link to the download for the CVI RTE 9.0.  You can download it here: http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/1196/lang/en

I have a similar issue. In the event log I have errors associated with the following:

Event 7000:   The cvintdrv service failed due to the following error: This driver has been blocked from loading.

Event 1060:   \SystemRoot\SysWow64\Drivers\cvintdrv.SYS has been blocked from loading due to incompatibility with thin system.

I've read a few posts and even looked into the link above, however the system I'm using has Windows 7 64 bit OS. So is there a different driver or path that works with Windows 7? Or do I just need to uninstall the incompatible driver? Thanks in advance.
