Error writing project file

I am seein the following error in LabWindows CVI 2013:

Error writing project file

Name.prj

(An unspecified error has occured, probably due to corrupted data)

Yet the projects compiles and creates the .exe file.

I do not see this error in 2012 SP1.

I just upgraded to 2013 today.

Any Clue?

Regards-

John O.

Some added information:

Using ClearCase.

The project file throwing the error is checkedout.

I can not save to the project file at all from LabWondows 2013.

The machine is running Windows XP.

Hello johnoc,

Where are you saving your project? Could you paste the full path? Is the location a network drive?

Best regards,

Thank you for getting back to me Nelu!

The issue seems to have worked itself out. Still not sure what the prolem was but I don't see the error anymore and I can save the .prj file LabWindows was complaining about.

Hello Nelu,

It seems the error is back.

I am saving the file to a ClearCase VOB through a mapped drive. I do not have this problem with 2012 or 2012 SP1.

Hello johnoc,

We have released a patch for LabWindows/CVI 2013. (Announcement link: http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabWindows-CVI/Announcement-LabWindows-CVI-2013-f1-Patch-Release/m-p/2599567...). The network drive issue might be resolved by installing the patch.

If the issue remains, could you post the full path? Or could you attach a stripped version of your project, that still reproduces the issue?

Best regards,

=Nelu F. || National Instruments.

The mapped directory on my machine is:

M:\joocon_3F1219Mods\ATE\KM1S200024\TExec\MPC\TQA_lib.prj

Hello johnoc,

Did this error occur after you installed the patch?

I tried to reproduce with a project I created, saving under the same path, same name, on a mapped network drive: z:\joocon_3F1219Mods\ATE\KM1S200024\TExec\MPC\TQA_lib.prj, but couldn't reproduce the issue.

Could you send us more details, like the OS you used, maybe the path of the mapped drive?...

If the error is reproducible with just the project file (after you have removed all source files), do you think you can send that?

Best regards,

Using Clearcase

Vob and View mapped to the M drive.

Using LabWondows 2012 SP1

I can save every other file except the .prj file.

The dialog pops up all the time.

I am trying to add files to my project and can't and this is really holding up my project.

The project is configured to build a .lib file.

There is another project file in the workspace that builds a .exe and that .prj file saves just fine.
