Curious about DebugTips.dll

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi,

I have installed CVI 2013 SP2 on two different computers - on one I have a directory Packages/Debugger/Visualizers containing exactly one file, NationalInstruments.Common.DebugTips.dll. (It's on the computer where I also have all the hardware drivers installed)

I am wondering to what software it belongs, and why such a 'strange' directory exists...(and not Program Files (x86)/National Instruments/ ...) Somehow I have the feeling it might be a leftover from an installation.

Thanks

DebugTips is installed with the NationalInstruments.Common .NET Assembly. NationalInstruments.Common was probably installed with the .NET API for either NI-DAQmx, NI-488.2, or NI-VISA. Another way you may have installed NationalInstruments.Common is with NI Measurement Studio.

I hope that helps,
