CoolSNAP HQ digital camera and LabWindows

Hello,
We are planning to build an imaging system. Digital camera CoolSNAP HQ from Roper Scientific is one of the parts of the system. It is desirable to control the camera using LabWindows. We found out that National Instruments do not have a specific driver for the camera. And we would like to know how difficult to develop the driver by ourselves.

ThRoy,

From what I can gather from the Roper web site the camera outputs both an analog and a digital signal. The Analog signal can be read without creation of a new camera file. To read the digital lines you would need a camera file. We would recommend that you work with one of our alliance members on the creation of a camera file unless you are experienced with cameras. We can help with some documentation on how to create a camera file, but this is not fully supported. This would be considered difficult if you do not have experience with camera communication.
