Cannot configure VXI-MIO-64E-1 card

I am moving a data acquisition system from an older PC to a faster one. Both run W2k. The system uses a vxi rack with Agilent VXI-firewire controller, and I have a VXI-MIO-64E-1 card in the rack.
I have NI-DAQ 6.9.2, Visa 3.0.1 and Max 2.0.3.17.
I am unable to configure the VXI-MIO card; when I click on it in Max the right hand window is just a grey square.
All of the hardware is visible to W2k as seen via the hardware listing in the control panel, and it is visible to the side-by-side Agilent Visa (version M), which is the secondary visa. The configuration tree in Max also looks OK.
Any thoughts on what is going wrong?
Also, how do I update max; on the old PC it was 2.2.0.3101, while on the new PC it is 2.0.3.17, and I cant find a s
ource of the newer code on NI's website.
Thanks,
Ed Roberts

Hi Ed,

It sounds as if the driver for your VXI-MIO-64E-1 is corrupt. I recommend you uninstall NI-DAQ 6.9.2 and MAX. The latest version of NI-DAQ that supports VXI DAQ is 6.9.3. You can download that at http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/websearch/50F49E43A22C0D2186256BF3006B9A96?opendocument&node=132070_US. When you install NI-DAQ 6.9.3, it will automatically install Measurement and Automation Explorer 2.2. If you are still experiencing problems, I recommend you also upgrade to the latest version of NI-VISA from http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/websearch/C136D5E8B4D8E77886256D6B005A4EB5?opendocument&node=132070_US and the latest version of NI-VXI from http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/websearch/30FDBEF97419A01686256D120061CBEA?opendocument&node=132070_US. I ho
pe this helps.
