CVI 2015 & Windows SDK

Solved!
Go to solution

Indeed, the file location documentation is in conflict.  The Readme file says, Program Files\Windows Kits, but the folder is actually placed in Program Files (x86).  CVI2015 must check both locations, because my projects, on both laptops now build properly.

If you're installing CVI 2015 via download from the National Instruments website, the installer will unpack all the setup files into C:\National Instruments Downloads.  From there, you can find the SDK setup program at:

C:\National Instruments Downloads\CVI\2015\Products\MSDTRedistributables_WindowsSDK_81\sdk\sdksetup.exe

Good information.  Thanks.

I did the install from the DVD set, and found the Windows SDK at  D:\Distributions\CVI\Products\MSDTRedistributables_WindowsSDK_81\sdk\sdksetup.exe.

I think the installer should install it. I hope this is fixed when CVI2015 SP1 is released.
