It would be convienent if this was the default, especially since the behavior now is to take the panel color from however Windows is set up on the development machine. I find this both odd and inconvienent as it makes this error hard to catch as the panels look okay on the development PC. Thanks.
The reason this isn't the default already is because if it were, then every time users try to paint something in a panel, CVI would display an irritating error message. So, the compromise was to not make it the default, but instead to provide a default-default option.
To set this option, In the UI Editor select Options>>Preferences>>Preferences for New Panels>>Conform to System Colors.
