In my labview project there is an xcontrol stuck in the dependencies that is not called by any vi. When I right click it and select "Why is this item in dependencies?" it highlights my main vi. However, I have tried searching this vi for the xcontrol and it returns nothing. The vi hierarchy shows this xcontrol as being called by "My Computer" but nothing else. If I delete the files for the xcontrol everything works but I have to tell the project to ignore the item every time I open it. How can I get rid of this thing?
This seems like strange behavior. What happens if you try copying all your code from your Main VI into a new VI. Do you still experience the same issue?
