To do this, I tweaked the 3D pie chart in vi.lib
Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to untangle the mess of dependencies to allow me to extract my code into a separate library. At times, all of the 3D graphing utilities in LabVIEW were broken for me... so backup your vi.lib before you get started if you plan on doing this.
Hope this works as a good starting point for your project.
Here's a few hints to help:
Change the viewing angle on the 3D pie chart so you're looking straight down at the center of it.
The different shades are actually different heights on the pie chart with a color ramp applied to that axis.
Disable lighting source to avoid weird shadows.
