which server to use to acquire data through NI DAQ card

hi, this is ankur gupta from NSIT, DU, currently working on a project to control level in labview.
we want to acquire data through NI-DAQ card using DSC module. now we have to first configure a server for that and we have tried vi server but to noe effect. we even moved to OPCdaq server but we havent got labview 8. so basically we are stuck and are not sure which server we should use to acquire data from daq card . can we use OPCLabVIEW to acquire data from daq card. if yes,how?

Why do you need to use OPC and DSC to communicate with the DAQ card?  Which DAQ card are you using?  I realize you don't have LabVIEW 8, which version of LabVIEW DSC do you have?

If you need to use the DAQ OPC server, then you need to create virtual channels for the DAQ card in MAX, then you will see those channels in LabVIEW when you want to bind shared variables to the channels.
