Sometimes the error is irrelevant, but you are getting tripped by the automatic error handler that throws an error whenever a subVI returns with an error, but that error terminal is not wired.

To get rid of popups created by the automatic error handler...

  • simply wire form the error output to the nearest structure boundary. Now the terminal is wired and the automatic handler silenced, even though the error wire does not go anywhere useful. However watch for changes in dataflow and execution order.
  • You can also disable automatic error handling in the VI properties...execution.
