Hi Folks,

 

I have a text file filled with commands. and i would like to turn this text file into a dropdown ring box, how do i do that??

textfile attached.

What part are you having problems with? Reading the file? Extracting a specific part of a row? Populating a ring?

 

What's supposed to go into the ring? Many of those lines are exactly the same.

I am having problems on Extracting a specific part of a row and  Populating a ring? I can read a file. the attached is just a sample test file that i was working on, once i figured out the aformentioned problems i will use the real file.

If you go to the example finder and type in ring there are a few examples that might help you.  If the examples do not help try posting your code so people can see what you have done and point you in the right direction.

That's not extracting anything from the lines. That's just dumping the contents of the file directly into the ring. That can be accomplished by simply doing this:

Help -> Find Examples.
