Hi. Please, bear with me. My question is I have a sick laser scanner LMS 100 and the problem is, I want to find the (X,Y) coordinates of the landmark using this scanner using LAbVIEW. Is it possible to find this ?

Hello,

You have to check which interfaces are available with this scanner and what is the communication protocol used.

LabVIEW can handle serial, ethernet, opc among others.

Do you have any documentation on this scanner?

we use TCP/IP connection for establishment via ethernet. You can check the manual of sick lms 100.

As you mention, the protocol description is available in the manufacturer's site.

According to this document, you can connect to the sensor and request most of its data.

Since it's based in TCP/IP protocol, you can do it using LabVIEW.
