save in file

hello,

I have a labview student edition 8,2 that I recently got from school and it's the first time I work with it so...

We have to make a simple program, like a small calculator.

Then we have to save the result in a file. But I can't manage that.

I think it has something to do with write file and a file path ...

That's what I have allready, I also used a subvi, but I'm not sure if I did it well

Can someone help me???

Hi..

If you want only save a text message , you can use the Write Text function (control palete  \ file i/o \write text).

As the same way, you can read text message too.

I sent you an VI example attached, and a Text file to try the open function too.
