ramdomly over bright images from CVS connected camera

we have a grab image and image processing LV application, when the camera
is triggered, then the application make a grabbing, we keep triggering the
camera by time interval like 2ms, like 70% of the time images are right,
30%, images are over bright, like the camera gain changed, but next time ,
the gain sounds return to normal, the camera is SONY industrial camera, 1024
by 768, in LV we have tried to initilized the camera setting at the
begining and also tried init camera before each triggering.

We don't know if it's a camera qulity, statbility problem, or it's common
in all indutrial camera, we have 10 cameras there, all with the same
problem.

should we test multiple triggers to get a best one, but it sound
s imposible,
the object we are detecting is moving, and also, the CVS transfer each image
will take many ms.

what cloud be the problem ?

thanks any input.

Richard,

What is the bitdepth of the images that you are acquiring? Are you using any text or ROI overlays or otherwise modifying the image? What type of processing are you using? What versions of LabVIEW, NI-IMAQ Vision and the IEEE 1394 drivers are you using?

Did this system ever work, or did this type of failure only recently begin? Do you have multiple cameras connected simultaneously? Does this behavior reproduce with only one camera connected?

Please let me know more about your application and what software versions you are using.
