This is interesting behavior. Are you able to reproduce this phenomenon using a simpler set of code?

I think the finder correctly switches the structures to the correct frame, it just gets the x,y coords of the object wrong.

Try just scrolling left/right, up/down, looking for the selected object.

I'm marking this as the solution just to close the discussion.  I've already explained panning around a huge VI in hopes of possibly spotting ten of these things is not an option.  I also really don't have time to   troubleshoot NIs code  by trying to duplicate the problem. Thanks for everyone who offered suggestions.
