Hi,

 

 

I'm trying to install labview 7.1 on ubuntu 14.04 in our lab machines. The pc are having intel i3 and i5 processors. I tried to install it using the instructions given in the Labview manual. It is showing errors like the one given below and going in a loop.
./INSTALL: 606: ./INSTALL: echon: not found
./INSTALL: 608: ./INSTALL: echon: not found

Then i tried to install it manually by converting the rpm packages to .deb format using a software named alien. Then it showing the error as the follows:

 

labview71-core-7.1-1.i386.rpm is for architecture i386 ; the package cannot be built on this system.

 

Can anyone suggest what to do next?
