open file with reference

@ Titou

Thanks alot but is it possible that you downgrade your example? I'm still using LV 8.0.1 and I couldn't open it.

Ok, there it is.

We have two ears and one mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we speak.

Hi
I have modified the example_launch.vi and try to open the same subvi (test_run.vi) twice now.
I have set the test_run vi to "reentrant execution" and expected that this should create two result files. but there's still only one instance opened and one result file created!
What's wrong?

Thanks for any help

regards
Yves

Hello Yves,

when you open the reference you should connect the options input with 8 (for reentrant run)

Hi

Does anybody knows what happens when I create an executable? I guess the loaded subvi will also be *.exe. Or does this type of programming only works with *.vi.
Because I made an executable with test_run.vi and tried to run it again. And nothing happened... (The test_run.exe works fine when running in standalone.)

The path of an VI in an executable is:
my_exe.exe\thevi.vi

Hi

I didn't knew that it is possible to run a *.vi without LV.

Thanks
