Use MAX to create a suitable DAQmx task!

When doing so MAX will show you how to connect your sensor and DAQ hardware…

It looks like you need a counter task to measure the output frequency.

Yes, i see now.I run MAX, chose NI-DAQmx Tasks under this there are two options MyVoltageTask and MyVoltageTask_0.I chose one of them then the opening window contains two  tab below. One of them is NI-DAQmx Task other is Connection Diagram.I select Connection Diagram but is says me'The connection diagram tool does not support this device.' Am i in the right way?

Hi,

you see two previously created DAQmx tasks.

You need to create your own one and configure it exactly the way you want it to have!

Why are you selecting a voltage task? You should create a new counter task.

What version of DAQmx are you using?

Ok, i went throught the Create New NI-DAQmx Task > Acquire Signal > Counter Input > Edge Count > then it gives me 2 option.I am sending it as a picture in attachment.

Does it matter which one i choose?

I dont understand what you mean the version of DAQmx.I am using NI USB 6229

Hi sgirgin,

your DAQ device supports two counters (ctr0 and ctr1).

You need to choose the one you want to use!

(You know you can read the manual for your hardware? You know NI offers them on their website?)

Best regards,
GerdW
