not using DAQ assistant in system

Hi,

I want to ask a question if DAQ assistant is needed in a system for reading the input.

Depends - From where you are reading the input and what hardware you are using for that .

You will need DAQ if you are using one of the DAQ cards from NI for measurement.

Regarding DAQ assistant , it helps  to configure the DAQ device.Using DAQmx you can get flexibility to program DAQ devices
