no devices available in realtime mode on Desktop PC

Solved!
Go to solution
One data acquisition computer of mine has the following cards built into it:

PCI-6229
PXI-6259 (via pxi-1033 chassis)

They are recognized fine and work perfectly booting this computer with Windows XP.

If I boot this very same computer using a "Desktop PC" realtime hard drive, I don't see any of the two devices in MAX. I do see the PXI-1033 chassis but all slots are listed as empty.
I would have assumed that at least the PCI-6229 would show up - but no.
My Desktop PC real time system has all available packages installed.

what can be the problem?

Hi There,

Good Morning and I hope your well today.

Thanks for the post!

So you are trying to few the Real Time PC under remote systems in MAX from another machine?

What version of DAQmx have you got installed on the remote real-time PC?

yes. and I do see the system, I can connect to it, I even see a serial port under the device section. But as stated previously, all my DAQ cards are not showing up.
