no daq assistant

Hello everyone,

I read some posts where people have my problem but I tried all the given solutions and I'm still stuck ...

I am using LabVIEW 13.0f2 and I want to use a USB-6008. I have Windows 7 Entreprise - 64 bits, so I dowloaded this driver : NIDAQmxBase1500 : http://www.ni.com/download/ni-daqmx-base-15.0/5649/en/

It unzips 617 files but asks for a lot of .vi files it cannot locate like

DAQmx Control Task.vi

DAQmx Stop Tas.vi

Convert 1DWfm to DDT

DAQmx Read Analog (Analog 1D Wfm NChan NSamp)

... and many others

I installed the driver after having installed LabVIEW, and already tried to to Add/Remove programs to click the 'Windows Labview 2013 support', but no results.

It would really be great to have some help here, thanks !

There are two products -- DAQmx and DAQmx Base.  They are different.  DAQmx Base does not contain the DAQ Assistant.

Thank you for answering so quickly.

So this should work right? http://www.ni.com/download/ni-daqmx-15.1/5617/en/

I don't have to uninstall the DAQmx Base ? What does this file contain then ?

Well, if I were doing it and had LabVIEW 2013 installed, I'd use the DAQmx that came with LabVIEW 2013 (in my kit, it was on DVD4).  Sometimes you can get away with installing software from "mixed" distributions, but it can be an issue ...

I just upgraded to 2014 (I needed that to open some files) and with the driver I posted everything is working fine and I have my DAQ assistant.

Thank you for the help Bob !
