I found a link to a kb article talking about MIG errors. It may be relevant: Why Do I Receive Error -229771 at DAQmx Start Task.vi?
It might help to try importing MAX settings as a different file type. This would mean re-exporting from the original system. Choose one of the INI file types instead of the .nce standard type.
The INI file is plain text, and you can manually remove parts of it that may be causing the crash. ( I've done this before successfully )

Hi,
Error When Importing Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) Settings
You have to Re-Export the settings... i think there are no other solutions.
