For those who run ino the same issue: in the niwebserver.conf file that is created with the executable, in the section "Global Directives", change the "Listen 8000" to some other unused port and then rerun the exe. Then call up the web page as usual but now using the new port number. Since each app has a different "niwebserver.conf" file, each app can have its own port number.
