micro epsilon CTL-CF1-C3 infrared Sensor

Has anyone interfaced with Micro Epsilon CTL-CF1-C3 infrared sensor? I have been sucessful with talking to it via Micro-Epsilon's utility CompactConnect but not with Labview.

I have tried using MAX. The sensor is recognized under the Devices and Interface tree but in the VISA Test Panel under the View Attributes tab, Is Port Connected (VI_ATTR_ASRL_CONNECTED) states that it is is an Invalid Property.

It is supposed to an invalid property. It is only valid for NI serial devices so just ignore it.

p.s. Just saying you are unsuccessful is a very weak description. You have not attached the sensor's manual. You have not said what command you are sending. You have not said what termination character you are sending. You have not said what error you get. You have not attached your code.

A quick search of the CD should give you a copy of both the manual AND the serial communication protocol which helped me immensely when writing my own API for them.

Is your API shared/hosted anywhere? I would love to use it!
