menu bar

Solved!

Hi

The menu bar disappears when I run my project vi through the project explorer. Once I click the run arrow, all of the top menu items on the bar disappear. And when I click the stop button on my vi the menu bar never reappears. Any ideas or suggestions would help.

Thanks

Sounds like a slightly weird behaviour that it never comes back but worth having a look in VI properties under Window Appearance - you've probably turned off the menu bar (e.g. if you changed it to a dialogue).

Are you sure the VI is completely stopped? It could also be in run mode, which will apply the window appearance settings that Sam mentioned even after the VI is stopped. Try switching between run and edit mode by pressing ctrl+M.

If you right click on the front panel while the menu is missing, do you see the control pallette? If not, that would be a good indication that the VI is still running, or in Run mode.
